Vishal Agarwal, father of minor boy accused in killing two techies, hitting their bike with his Porsche, was arrested from Aurangabad.
Pune Police on Tuesday arrested Vishal Agarwal, father of the 17-year-old boy who killed two young techies, running over their bike with his unregistered Porsche in the wee hours of Sunday. He was nabbed from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad in the early hours of the day.
A renowned city-based real estate developer, Vishal Agarwal, escaped from Pune soon after his son was granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Sunday evening after 15 hours of police detention.

Agarwal knew that after his son got bail, he would be under police scanner and therefore, he left the city.
Where was Vishal Agarwal for two days?
While on the run, Agarwal drove to his properties in Pune and even went to his farm house in Daund.
He then travelled to Kolhapur, which is about 230 kms from Pune, and there he met one of his friends.
Tensed about being caught, Agarwal thought of a way to mislead the cops who were looking for him and so he stayed back in Kolhapur and sent his driver along with his car to Mumbai.

Agarwal then hopped into his friend’s car and travelled with him to Sambhajinagar.
He even switched off his mobile phone to avoid being tracked. The Pune Porsche accident accused’s father got a new number to keep in contact with close knit people.
Meanwhile, his family remained unaware about his whereabouts and they were just informed that he was in Mumbai.
How did the cops arrest Pune Porsche accident accused’s father?
The movements of Agarwal were eventually traced through the GPS of his friend’s car.
The Pune Crime Branch teams used technical surveillance, GPS tracking, CCTV footages as well as the messages sent to Agarwal to locate his location. He was ultimately hiding in a lodge in Sambhajinagar.

Agarwal’s minor son, said to be about four months short of turning 18, was detained by Pune Police in the wee hours of Sunday (May 19) after he, under the influence of alcohol, drove his Porsche over two bike-borne youths who were from Madhya Pradesh working in an IT company in Pune.
Before the accident, police said the minor accused visited two different restaurants, on Saturday evening, with a group of about 10-12 of his friends. They were served alcohol, namely vodka, whiskey, and beer along with food at both the restaurants.

According to FIR in the Pune Porsche accident case, the minor boy, along with his friends, first partied at Cozy Bar between 9:30 pm to midnight and then moved to Black Bar, where they partied till 1 am on Sunday.

After leaving the second restaurant, the boy, along with couple of his friends, hopped into his Porsche. He then sped the vehicle and around 3:15 am on Sunday and knocked down Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, both 24-year-old techies, in Kalyaninagar.

As per reports, Ashwini died on the spot and Aneesh was shifted to a city hospital, where he died soon after.
The minor accused was detained by police and was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board the same day which granted him bail, setting some conditions including writing a 300-word essay on the “effect of road accidents and their solution”.

He was detained by the police for about 15 hours during which he was fed pizza, burger and biryani.
The police said they have moved a higher court (Sessions court) for permission to try the minor accused as an adult.
